Abstract. A numerical method for solving nonlinear Fredholm integro-dierential equations of fractional order is proposed. The method is based on a Hybrid function approximation. The proper- ties of Hybrid of Block-Pulse functions and orthonormal Bernstein polynomials are presented and are utilized to reduce the computa- tion of converting nonlinear Fredholm integro-dierential of frac- tional order equations to a system of algebraic equations. some nu- merical examples are presented to illustrate the eectiveness and simplicity of the method.
