In this paper, a new class of unimodal positively skewed lifetime distributions with increasing failure rate is introduced. Some theoretical and reliability properties of this class are studied. Parameter estimation is also presented using the method of maximum likelihood and the method of moments. It is shown that the proposed model is better fitted to a real lifetime data set relative to previous introduced models.
